Growing pressure on students to perform and intense competition to get into college have generated a corresponding increase in requests from parents for evaluations, most often as a means toward qualifying for accommodations on standards and entrance tests (e.g., modifications such as untimed tests or individualized administration) as well as gathering information to understand an individual's capacity and/or potential for career planning.

At Pinkerman & Gonzalez Psychological, we specialize in diagnostic evaluations of children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. We are available to evaluate intelligence, academic skills, attentional abilities, memory, emotional functioning, adaptive skills and vocational interests.  It is important to tailor each psychological evaluation to the needs of the student, and licensed psychologists administer all tests. Our psychological evaluations conform to the guidelines set forth by the American Psychological Association (APA). We pride ourselves in providing comprehensive testing and educating parents about their rights and options. Some conditions we evaluate include:

  • Learning Disabilities (e.g., reading, written expression and mathematics disorders)
  • Attention-Deficit /Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
